Gasoline Prices and Competition
Harold M. Fleming
1966

Wow, I bet library users who are interested in all the talk in the media about gas prices, new energy sources, and oil reserves will be impressed with this book!  NOT!

For an historical look at the oil & gas industry in the lead up to the oil crisis of the 1970s, this book would probably be very helpful.

I can appreciate that many of the titles here at ALB maybe at one time were appropriate, but the small public library that held this title is probably not going to have a lot of call for this title. We sneaky folks at ALB were the first to check this title out in many years! This also was an an extremely technical book and was probably better suited to an academic or special library, even for 1966. I just hope my one circ on this title doesn’t prevent weeding!

Yikes, though seriously books on the current oil and gas prices are lacking(at least they were in my campuses library) I did a report my freshman year on the oil crisis and the how the future might be and was unable to find a single book on the subject that was anywhere near current. I had to get my information from articles online. Which is now the norm for most college students, but I like books!
