Careers in Management for the New Woman
Stashower
1978
Again with the “new woman” stuff! I am beginning to think I missed the catch phrase of the 70’s. If you haven’t figured out by now, the career advice and resume books will be the death of me! In many areas of Michigan we are looking at devastating unemployment and this book is useless for today’s job hunters. Since career materials are so hot, I am sure even these loser books are getting circs. Unbelievable!

Based on the cover, I’m assuming this book will help the New Woman decide which jobs are “too big” for her, which are “too small” and the ones that are “juuussst right!”

Actually, I thought it was saying that the New Woman was going to be a few sizes larger.

Does it include information on pant suits?

“New Woman” was a catchphrase in the 1920s and 30s…and a perjorative, mostly (see: Evelyn Waugh’s A Handful of Dust).

And it’s “pejorative”, I know. I just “perjored” myself with a typo.
