Can’t get enough of Mary and Holly? Come see us LIVE at ALA Annual Conference (July 9-15) in Chicago! No, we aren’t talking about Awful Library Books, but since we are deathly afraid no one will show up to our programs, we are taking a moment to invite you to see us. See the conference brochure for details, but here are the tentative show times:
Thingamabobs and Doodads: Why Tech Support IS Reference
Monday 10:30am-12:00pm
Not Just for Kids: Promoting Library Services Through Adult Summer Reading Programs
Monday 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Just one more thing….
Matthew Fellows, a regular teen at our library (and fan of ALB!) designed a fun t-shirt for that special weeder in your life! Click on the CafePress link on the left RIGHT hand side under other stuff. Here is his work!

Hey! I would love to see the graphic on the shirt. Can you post it on here? The CafePress version is teeny-weeny!

I think that the artist did an AWESOME job and that more people should comment on it.
Every once in a while a masterpiece comes along and I believe that this is the masterpiece of the year.

I definitely think we should do our ALA programs while wearing these shirts!

Argh! This is killing me! I just realized TODAY, that I wouldn’t be able to attend ALA, even though it is just up in Chicago (I’m in Indy). The “thingumbob” workshop was even on my list!

Had to laugh when I saw this photo – and the Sterling Heights Library in the background (my old stomping grounds back in the day). I have been glad to see that the computer sections (especially the CAD & CAM books) where not swept out so quickly – given the thesis I had to write (which is available at my website).
