The Only Tax Book You’ll Ever Need
Garber
1982

Only?  Ever?  Strong words.  I’m pretty sure Uncle Sam would disagree.

Oh, please! It’s not as if the tax code ever gets updated or anything.

Oh, and there was this little change the law is now called “Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.” I bet a book from 1982 does not cover it!

Years ago I worked in personal finance here in Canada, and the company used to give us monthly bulletins and an annual fifty page manual outlining changes in the tax laws and especially in their interpretations. Until they stop writing laws, there won’t be any ‘Last Book You’ll Ever Need” about anything.

I’m with you all there. I just weeded several tax books from my college library collection that were from the 70s and 80s. The tax codes change every year sometime several times a year. I’m glad its all online now. Saves money buying books that go out of date in 6 months.
